Modified Schedule for July 2014
For the month of July 2014 only, classes will be held Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 4:20 PM. There are no classes on Fridays in July and on August 1st in addition to the mid-Summer break for the week of July 4th.
Chess Club wins awards
Garza's Chess club ranked in the top 10 taking 6th place at a tournament in November. Individual students received various recognition including the winning the majority of games with toughest competition schedule and top recognition for good sportsmanship.
Garza's Film Program featured
FM 91.7 features Garza's Award Winning Film Program including interviews with film students and their teacher, Akasha Banks Villalobos. <click for more info>

Service Learning Field Trip
Students from Garza High School participated in a service learning project at Lyon's Garden in Austin. Many of the students are members of the Garza Gardens class that study horticulture at the campus.
